MiCA Regulation for the Crypto-Asset Market

MiCA Regulation for the Crypto-Asset Market

Extract (English) The Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) establishes the European Union’s first comprehensive regulatory framework for the issuance, offering and provision of services related to crypto-assets. The regulation harmonises rules across Member States, strengthens investor protection, promotes market integrity and introduces specific requirements for token issuers and Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs). For organisations developing blockchain-based solutions, MiCA creates a new compliance landscape that requires proper asset classification, enhanced governance and alignment with European regulatory standards.
