Milestones and benefits of eIDAS 2 By December 2026, implementation will be mandatory across Europe. The transition to digital wallets (Eudi Wallets) will simplify mobile procedures that are currently complex, eliminating dependence on major external platforms and enhancing privacy.
Blockchain and business efficiency DLT networks are the most efficient option for managing business identities and non-qualified credentials. ISBE enables processes such as account opening or power of attorney management for SMEs—which previously took months—to be resolved in minutes with full legal validity.
Future vision In five years, digital identity will be a standard driven by ease of use and integration with artificial intelligence. The goal is an ecosystem where citizens and businesses manage their permissions and evidence in an automated, secure, and sovereign manner.
