ISBE at the IV Digital Assets and Financial Sector Congress organized by ICAM

The Spanish Blockchain Services Infrastructure (ISBE) continues to establish itself as a strategic tool to drive a reliable, interoperable digital economy with a real impact on the business fabric. This was reflected during the IV International Digital Assets and Financial Sector Congress, organized by the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM), where ISBE was highlighted as a key initiative for technological development with legal guarantees.
During the institutional presentation of the congress, Manuel Pérez Gómez, Deputy Counselor for Digitization of the Community of Madrid, emphasized that ISBE represents a new generation of digital infrastructures, built with a public-permissioned approach aimed at generating value for SMEs, startups, and institutions. Accompanied by regional government representatives and congress directors, he highlighted the need to combine technology, governance, and regulation to build a robust and competitive digital environment.
This strategy is being deployed in several phases: first, with the launch of the national blockchain network; second, with a grant line worth two million euros aimed at promoting the development of real-world use cases in traceability, certification, and automation; and finally, with the progressive activation of an ecosystem for business innovation and public-private collaboration.
In this context, ISBE is positioned as an infrastructure designed not only to innovate but to provide legal certainty, operational efficiency, and digital trust. Its alignment with European standards reinforces its role as a benchmark infrastructure for deploying scalable solutions in key sectors.
Furthermore, ISBE actively participated in the panel on non-banking service providers in Web3, where Miguel Ángel Calero Fernández, Íñigo García de Mata, and Ángel Luis Quesada Nieto—members of the ISBE technical team—addressed the challenges and opportunities for the Spanish industry. Particular emphasis was placed on Spain's experience in the joint construction of technology and regulation, as well as ISBE’s pioneering role as a foundation for digital identity use cases and blockchain infrastructures adapted to the European framework.
With the backing of the Community of Madrid and the technical leadership of Alastria, ISBE continues to advance as an open, secure, and Europe-aligned infrastructure, prepared to enable new business models, reinforce technological sovereignty, and consolidate Spain as a leader in blockchain and digital innovation.
