ISBE is officially presented at Palacio de Cibeles during MERGE Madrid 2025

The Spanish Blockchain Services Infrastructure (ISBE) held its official presentation at Palacio de Cibeles as part of MERGE Madrid 2025, solidifying its position as one of the most significant initiatives for technological development and digital trust in Spain and Europe.
During the event, Ignacio Azorín, Director of Strategy for the Community of Madrid, highlighted the regional government's commitment to projects that strengthen competitiveness and digital autonomy, emphasizing ISBE's value as a strategic infrastructure for the country's economic future.
In turn, Miguel Ángel Domínguez, President of Alastria Blockchain Ecosystem, underscored ISBE's role as a public, interoperable infrastructure aligned with European standards. It is designed to generate real value for companies, administrations, and citizens while facilitating the development of secure and sustainable digital solutions.
The ISBE stand received institutional visits from the Counselor and Deputy Counselor for Digitization of the Community of Madrid, as well as the Ambassadors of Ireland and Chile, who expressed great interest in this pioneering public blockchain infrastructure.
Throughout the session, the first use cases to be deployed on ISBE were presented, covering sectors such as digital payments, agrifood traceability, academic certification, digital identity, tokenized finance, and industrial cybersecurity.
Additionally, the ISBE team participated in several debates on digital identity, sustainability, governance, and the future of blockchain infrastructures, sharing their vision on how to build a digital trust ecosystem from Spain for all of Europe.
With the backing of the Community of Madrid and Alastria, ISBE advances in its mission to become a national benchmark infrastructure, designed to drive innovation, public-private collaboration, and technological sovereignty, strengthening Spain's leadership role in European trust technologies.
