ISBE participates in the Blockchain Summit Latam (BSL) 2025 in Medellín, Colombia

In November, ISBE participated in the Blockchain Summit Latam (BSL) 2025 in Medellín, Colombia, one of Latin America's most significant gatherings focused on financial innovation, regulation, and digital assets.
During the event, government authorities, central banks, financial institutions, fintechs, and tech leaders from across the region gathered at EAFIT University for an edition centered on digital money infrastructure, tokenization, and the convergence of traditional banking and blockchain technology.
ISBE participated in a conference regarding collaborative ecosystems around blockchain technology and hosted a technical workshop to share the Spanish experience in developing reliable, regulated, and interoperable blockchain infrastructures. This model is increasingly in demand by ecosystems seeking security, governance, and the ability to scale real-world use cases.
The following key points were presented during the session:
- The technical and operational model of ISBE, Spain's national blockchain services infrastructure.
- Project fundamentals: why it was created, how it is structured, and what it enables.
- The European experience in secure infrastructures aligned with regulations such as eIDAS2, GDPR, and MiCA.
- Opportunities for collaboration and mutual learning with Latin American institutions moving toward similar models.
For ISBE, participating in BSL 2025 represents an opportunity to build international bridges, share its vision, and strengthen cooperation with key players in the financial, technological, and regulatory sectors in Latin America.
