Compliance is present from the outset
The ISBE infrastructure is designed to comply with the Spanish and European regulatory frameworks applicable to blockchain. Regulatory compliance is integrated into its technical design and governance model, ensuring privacy, security, traceability and legal validity of use cases.
Designed to be GDPR and eIDAS2 compliant
ISBE is designed to be compliant with GDPR and eIDAS2 from the outset, both in its technical architecture and governance, so personal data management, identities and e-signatures are already aligned with these frameworks.
This is a great advantage for participants and application developers, who do not need to build these safeguards from scratch.
ISBE integrates European and national regulatory frameworks
In addition to considering GDPR and eIDAS2, the ISBE infrastructure also takes into account other regulatory requirements such as MiCA, DORA, LMVSI, ENS and NIS2.
This facilitates adaptation to legal and technological changes, and ensures that use cases implemented in ISBE are aligned with relevant regulations, in areas such as finance, cybersecurity and digital services.
Constant monitoring system
To verify compliance with regulations and identify any deviations, the ISBE blockchain infrastructure is equipped with a constant monitoring system and incident protection mechanisms. In addition, it is subject to regular and constant testing.
These technical and operational measures focus on privacy, confidentiality and cybersecurity, and ensure that use cases are developed in a secure environment and in line with established policies and standards.
How ISBE complies with each regulatory framework
GDPR
To ensure compliance with GDPR, ISBE allows personal data to be handled with maximum security, requiring as little processing as possible, and leaving the control in the hands of the user.
With ISBE, it makes it easy to ensure that only the necessary data is processed and that all interaction is transparent, auditable and respectful of privacy.
On the other hand, mechanisms have been implemented to enable the management of incidents related to GDPR compliance.
eIDAS2
ISBE is aligned with the new trust services proposed in Regulation 2024/1183, known as eIDAS2. The infrastructure will support the requirements of the new Qualified Electronic Ledger (QEL) service, and it will be possible to deploy use cases for verifiable digital credentials (Q)EEAs and Trusted Lists (Trusted Lists).
DORA
ISBE responds to DORA's requirements by providing a robust, resilient and prepared infrastructure to ensure operational continuity. Its distributed architecture reduces risk, improves traceability and enables organisations to ensure the integrity of their critical digital processes in the event of any incident.
MiCA
ISBE operates in compliance with MiCA by providing a regulated and transparent basis for tokenisation and cryptoasset-linked services. The infrastructure enables the development of digital value models under criteria of security, governance and regulatory control, facilitating responsible innovation in the business ecosystem.
Other frameworks
ISBE complies with the other Spanish and European frameworks by integrating principles of security, interoperability, digital sovereignty and responsible information management.
ISBE adapts to regulations such as NIS2, ENS, LMSVI or the European Declaration on Digital Rights and Principles for the Digital Decade, ensuring that the services deployed always operate in trusted environments aligned with European values.
